William Boucaut KC

Bill was admitted into legal practice in 1975. He has worked in private practice and SA’s Crown Prosecutor’s Office before spending several years in Hong Kong where he was with the Attorney General’s Chambers. He returned to SA and signed the Bar Roll in 1991. He practises predominately in the area of criminal law and has appeared in some of the state’s most notorious murder trials. He has sat as an acting coroner and was counsel assisting the coroner in the long-running Wangary (Eyre Peninsular) Bushfire Inquiry.

Bill took silk in 2010. He is a member of the Bar’s Criminal Law Committee and has served as the chairman of that group. He is the First Deputy Presiding Member of the Parole Board of South Australia. He practises out of Len King Chambers in Adelaide and is a visiting member of Albert Wolff Chambers in Perth.
